A Ghost In The Night

So going back about three weeks now, it was a normal night like any other. My little boy had woken up and ended up sleeping in our bed again, But as kids do he didn't leave any room so i decided to go sleep in his bed ( he has a normal size single bed).

it was the middle of the night and something woke me up, Even though it was dark as soon as my eyes opened i could see it. Standing right next to the bed was a really tall woman. Now i couldn't make out any features as it was a very dark silhouette i could see she had messy curly hair and extra long fingers that kind of resembled claws.

I have seen things before in my past and they have never bothered me but this time something was different. This shook me to the bone and i still don't know why but it did. I was so scared i just froze as she continued to stand there right next to the bed looming over me.

I finally plucked up the courage to get up and turn the light on at the other end of the room but by the time i turned around she had gone. However she still stuck with me and for the next week or so i couldn't sleep without a light on and every time i thought of it i got shudders through my back and my hair would stand up on end.

With what I've told you and how i felt this is when it gets really freaky. Last night our little boy kept waking us up by screaming and we thought he was just being silly. Time and time again he would wake us up and we would ask every time what was wrong but he wouldn't tell us. Eventually one time when my wife went in he told her he wasn't sleeping because he was too scared. She asked what he was scared of and he pointed to the exact same spot where i had seen the woman standing and said that the scary toy keeps waking him up every night. He also told us that a skeleton keeps walking around his room and getting in to his bed, He calls every spooky thing / monster a skeleton at the moment ever since Halloween so he would call anything out of the ordinary a skeleton.

We really don't know what to make of this because usually we would just put it down to the fact he's 3 and has a very good imagination, But as its exactly where i saw the ghostly woman and we never mentioned the fact i saw it makes me second guess and wonder what is actually happening.

I don't really know the history of the house but it would be interesting after this to look in to it and see if anything out of the ordinary stands out. Oh i almost forgot to say that when we moved in there was a lock on the outside of his bedroom door and when we redecorated there was what looked like a blood splat on the wall that had been covered up . At the time i try to explain it as rust coming through the wall but we looked into it and there is nothing in the entire wall that could rust.

Will anything happen again tonight? Who knows, i really hope not but if it does i will write another post about it and keep whoever is reading this updated.
